Information about this Contact:

Amy Burton grew up in the small town of Lyme in the beautiful River Valley region of New Hampshire. She studied International Relations and Economics (with a concentration in Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution) at Simmons College in Boston. After graduating, Amy relocated to Portland, Oregon in search of a new experience. While in Portland, she worked in two very exciting health care environments including as a research assistant to Women’s Health projects focusing mainly on family planning research. Though the majestic landscapes of the Northwest will always be in her heart, Amy returned home to New England in order to be closer to her wonderful family. She comes to us after a brief stint at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and is currently making plans to pursue a Masters degree in Conflict Resolution.

In addition to her work-life, Amy thoroughly enjoys the company of Sawyer (her Labrador/Cattle Dog mix rescue puppy) and Jim (her Journalist/Blogger mix husband). Amy and Jim met nine years ago this autumn while working as team members in Americops: National Civilian Community Corp. The three make weekly morning trips to the farm to pick up their CSA share and enjoy cooking, pickling, jaming and freezing the fresh produce. Amy is also currently working on a Couch to 5K challenge with her sister. The two enjoy jogging on the Minute Man Bike Path in the cool early mornings.

Amy wants everyone to know how thrilled she is to be joining the staff team here at church—and that she is eager to begin getting to know everyone and helping support all the wonderful people and programs at church.

Amy has regular office hours on campus, during which she will be available to respond to your calls/emails. Her hours are Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM.  She will also have some availability by appointment outside of these hours. Please feel free to contact her with any questions, comments, or just to say hello!
